Breast Lift Mexico
Many women become self-conscious of their breasts as they age, as the skin begins to lose elasticity and the breasts sag. This can be reversed by a breast lift procedure. Breast lift surgery, clinically known as mastopexy, repositions the breasts higher up on the chest, giving the bust line a more youthful-looking appearance. If you are unhappy with breasts that sag or droop, and are interested in a breast lift at our Cancun, Mexico practice, please contact a patient coordinator at Perfection Makeover and Laser Center today. A member of our team would be happy to discuss the procedure in greater depth with you.
Breast lift patients are placed under anesthesia so they remain comfortably sedated throughout the entire procedure. The breast lift surgeon then makes an incision, removes excess skin, and repositions the skin and nipple to firm and lift the breasts. The placement of the incision will vary by patient and procedure.
During a standard breast lift, the surgeon makes an anchor or keyhole-shaped incision. This circular incision around the areola extends vertically down toward the underside of the breast, and curves along the breast crease, forming the shape of an anchor. During a donut lift, the surgeon makes two circular incisions around the circumference of the areola. A lollipop incision technique is similar to a donut incision, but will include an additional vertical incision down the underside of the breast.
Through these incisions, the underlying breast tissue can be reduced, lifted, and shaped. Excess skin underneath the nipple is removed, and the nipple is positioned higher on the chest. If necessary, the areola is reduced by removing excess skin around its perimeter. The surgeon then closes the incisions with sutures. Once complete, the patient can recover comfortably from breast lift surgery in beautiful Mexico. Initial recovery typically takes several days, during which the patient will be wearing a supportive surgical bra to hold the breasts in place.
The placement of breast implants can be incorporated into the lift procedure to add volume. After removing sagging breast tissue, the surgeon places saline or silicone implants either under the mammary gland or the pectoral muscle. A breast lift with augmentation will improve the position and cup size. The placement of implants also prolongs the results of a breast lift surgery because implants are less susceptible to gravity than natural breast tissue.
A breast lift will reposition drooping or sagging breasts higher on the chest, as well as move the nipple higher up on the breast. The result is a perkier, shapelier bust line. A breast lift is also beneficial to patients who have recently lost a significant amount of weight and are lacking volume and shape in their breasts. Whatever your motivation for undergoing the procedure, the physical transformation provided by a breast lift is emotionally rewarding; breast lift surgery can prompt an increase in self-esteem and confidence.
Typically a safe and very effective procedure, breast lift surgery, as all surgical procedures do, does carry a few risks. Risks of a breast lift include:
Altered sensation or loss of sensitivity in the breast or areola
Interference with breastfeeding if the milk ducts are affected
Asymmetry of the breasts or asymmetrical nipple placement
